As a member of GITA you will benefit from the following:
- GITA carries out surveys at regular intervals and publishes specialist articles that may be directly beneficial to you i.e. relevant studies contributed by our members.
- All members are able to use the digital GITA emblem in their work as a symbol of quality assurance for the customer. This favorably distinguishes GITA members from the competition.
- GITA endeavors to raise the profile and awareness of online translation services through suitable PR campaigns.
- GITA promotes not only dialogue with external institutions but also among its members. GITA members can thereby profit from sharing experience and knowledge with each other.
- GITA is a central point of contact for all members for questions, suggestions or criticism. In every case, the association endeavors to act on the concerns of its members, as long as these are in accordance with the aims of the association.
- GITA is determined to increase consumer trust in online translation services. This will result in the establishment of the internet as a medium for translation.
- Membership is free for freelance translators. Translation agencies are required to pay an annual membership fee of €450.
- Regular events that benefit members such as seminars, lectures and workshops will be organized either by or in co-operation with GITA.
