Over the past few months GITA has conducted a survey on the subject of "Translation and the Internet". The results will provide an important basis for the future activities of the association. The most important results are the following:
87% of the participants were of the opinion that the Financial crisis has had a less severe affect on the translation industry than on other sectors. Only 4% disagree with this statement.
As expected, more than 70% of the participants indicate that globalization is more of an advantage than a disadvantage to the translation industry.
Just over 80% of the participants agree unreservedly that the Internet is helpful in their everyday work.
GITA sincerely thanks all the translators who took part in the survey.
